30 Day Challenge Results

Last Month I gave myself a challenge. A 30 Day challenge that I was able to do up till day 23. Here is the original article where I spoke about the article. Also here is half-way point article I also wrote about the experience.

Everything I got rid of is mostly in here.

Towards the end when I couldn’t think of anything to get rid of. So I stopped. But, since I probably going to be moving next summer I’ll probably pick back up with getting rid of more things. It really did start to get harder towards the end when I would of had to get rid of sentimental things. I have some of my Dad’s picture albums that I don’t want to give rid of and with the winter coming here I didn’t want to get rid of my winter clothing.

This was a really great experience and has given me a lot of perspective on things that I actually need to buy instead of my regular. “Oh I want that,” to later on realize I didn’t need it I just wanted to own it. Which I realized with a lot of my makeup and electronics I’m giving away. I also realized that I did put a lot of empathize on material things.

So will say that I failed the challenge. But, I think I’ve learned a lot about myself lasting as long as I did. Could I have gotten rid of more things probably. But it’s overwhelming seeing the pile of things that you accumulated to not give one iota about. I’m still talking to my friend that I reconnected with, and have a new appreciation for the things that I kept. I’ve become a lot more creative with other parts of my life. I’m happy with this change. If you’ve considered it for a moment. I would say to do it. It’s a great cleanse for your soul,

I don’t know what my next challenge will be. But, I’ll be sure to let you know about it.
