I don’t really have a funny story about the first time I heard Florence + the Machine. Well you know what while I typed this up. I do remember the first time I seen the Dog Days Are Over video. I thought that Florence Welch was an interesting looking woman. Though in that video you didn’t get to see what she looked it. I did think that video was amazing and I liked her vocals didn’t sound traditional. Just like her look. I pretty sure I was ready for this kind of music at the moment. She reminds me of a modern Janis Joplin, Jewel and David Bowie. Their videos are fashionable or simplistic but always with an avant garde flair.
